So in this case you need to manually check it but the question is arise how??.....So, here in this blog i describe you about manually enable windows update in Windows 8.

Firstly you need to flitter the mouse over the bottom right corner of the screen to open the Charms menu bar. Now in the Charms menu open the Settings option.
In the Settings menu you need to choose the “Change PC settings” option that is at the bottom of the setting menu list.

After that you need to select the Windows Update by going to the bottom of the PC settings tabs and then click the Check for updates now button.

Windows 8 will then connect to Microsoft’s online update center and check if there are any updates available that you don’t have till now. If it find any update they will be listed where the Check for updates now button, then you need to press install to get started with them. Now the updates will download, and then install automatically.
